Ezra's Prayer

Ezra's prayer in Ezra chapter 9 in the Old Testament has a different tone than alot of prayers heard today. He mentions none of his own merits, yet acknowledges God's grace, (verse 8), God's sovereignty (v. 8), God's faithfulness (v. 9), God's judgement (v. 10), God's mercy (v. 10), and God's righteousness (v. 14). Great example on how to approach God based on His merits, not on what we perceive ours to be.
